Through Penn State's devPSU startup program, I collaborated with a group of students to enter the Nittany AI competition. This is a yearly competition held at Penn State that aims to encourage the use of Machine Learning to solve problems on campus. I worked with a group of four other students as a software engineer for this project.
Our team designed a tool for matching Penn State students with clubs and activities after the completion of an interest survey. The website provided a base prototype for future implementation using machine learning and was presented to a group of corporate representatives during the Nittany AI competition. Our idea was found to be promising and received funding to continue developing it. We continued to improve the project, but unfortunately were knocked out before the finalist phase.
